PROJECT WE BEAM, produced in partnership with From a Child’s Point of View, was a public art installation that projected local 5th graders’ thoughts and feelings about our changing climate onto the side of the Pickford Film Center in Bellingham. Throughout the installation, community members were encouraged to participate in the conversation via live text messaging. Resemblances was the theme of a cross-cultural workshop jointly produced by the Bellingham Youth Media Project, the Bellingham Sister Cities Association and Filmbuilding.org with the goal of exploring non-traditional ways to build films through collaborative, media-based storytelling.

This pilot program consisted of intercultural filmbuilding that built connections between youth in Bellingham, WA, and our sister cities in Finland, Japan and Australia.
